Visa to India: A valid tourist e-visa is mandatory for entering India. We recommend that you get further information and apply in time at the official Indian website  Applications for a 30-day e-visa are accepted from about two months before arrival, that is from about August 20. Some useful information for the application will be sent out with the detailed travel plan at that time.

Time difference: In November, India is 4 hours and 30 minutes ahead of Scandinavia.

Flights to and from Delhi (and taxi to/from the airport) are NOT included in the price. (That way, each may secure cheaper tickets). We are available to help with advice for the journey to and from India. Some people may want to travel together for convenience and company. Contact Acem if you have questions (mail address below).

Climate: The temperature in November in the Himalayan foothills and in Delhi is typically like pleasant Scandinavian summer days. However, it may be chilly at night, especially in the mountains. Bring warm clothing!

Shopping: There are good opportunities for shopping bargains in India. This applies, among other things, to traditional Indian goods, such as rugs, handicrafts, textiles and clothing. Also, western clothing etc can be bought at reasonable prices. We recommend that you shop in Delhi towards the end of the trip. Shopping advice will be provided!
